Robbins-Gioia Study Reveals Majority of Respondents Value Independent versus Implementer Oversight of Projects
October 30, 2007, Alexandria, VA—A Robbins-Gioia study released today found that more than 70 percent of respondents valued the concept of independent oversight of large-scale initiatives instead of relying on implementers to provide oversight. Sixty-one percent said they were either doubtful or only somewhat confident that their implementer was managing, retaining, and communicating with their employees in a way that improved project performance. “These findings are significant, considering that more than 65 percent of the respondents also said they were currently engaged in one or more large-scale technology procurements or major outsourced deals,” commented Carina Veksler, Robbins-Gioia market research director. |
