Twas the night before Implementation

June 3-6, 2007
Winnipeg, Manitoba

Many records and information management professionals have been through the horror of having everyone show up to install a new software application only to find that important questions, decisions, and processes have not been determined. There are virtually hundreds of triggers, decisions, defaults, and workflow processes that must be considered prior to installation. This session will provide for the participants a breakdown of items, applicable tools, and techniques on how to mitigate the risk of an installation/deployment going awry. Attendees will have the opportunity to logically solve obstacles that can impede the process from the implementation plan to the deployment/rollout of a new or updated software application.

Program Outline

  • 3 day, 4 track conference format
  • "Twas the Night before Implementation"
  • June 5, 2007 session time 9:00-12:00
