James Leto
Board of Directors

A 30-year industry veteran, Jim Leto most recently served as Robbins-Gioia’s president and CEO. During his tenure, he put the company on a growth trajectory that resulted in reaching the $100M mark in 2005, instituted a strategic planning process and energized the workforce. He currently serves as CEO of GTSI.

In his previous role as Chairman and CEO of PRC, a $900 million science and technology firm, PRC achieved annual operating income growth of 40 percent. PRC was ranked among the top 10 information technology contractors for the federal government and the number one IT provider for both the Justice Department and Commerce Department.

Additionally, Leto served in a series of increasingly responsible positions at AT&T over the course of 23 years. In one capacity at AT&T, Leto served as vice president and general manager of the newly formed Federal Computer Systems Division, where he established a major presence for the company’s computer systems and system integration capabilities. During this time, his organization built a nationwide sales force, consolidated its technical support operations, and grew its revenue base from approximately $70 million to more than $500 million.

In 1986, Leto was named president of AT&T Canada and managing director of AT&T International. He assumed responsibility for the fledgling Canadian AT&T operation in January 1986 and, at the conclusion of the assignment in 1988, had built a nationwide sales and service presence representing the full array of AT&T products and services. He also helped positively influence the outcome of the Free Trade negotiations in the United States.

An active industry spokesperson and community leader, Leto has delivered a series of keynote addresses, and has received numerous awards and recognition. He was honored with a Federal Computer Week Federal 100 award, named to Canada’s most influential business leaders list, and has been quoted in many magazine, newspaper, radio, and television interviews. Leto currently serves on a wide variety of charitable foundation and corporate boards.

A graduate of Wayne State University, Leto also holds an executive Master of Science degree from Pace University. Further, he completed the executive management program at the University of Virginia’s Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business.
